“A Great New Option for the Spa!”
My husband and I stayed in the Embassy Suites this past weekend (May 1 – May 3). The hotel is brand new. You can smell the new carpet in the hallways. The lobby is gorgeous, the staff is friendly and accommodating (in fact, their friendliness stands out in a town known for being extremely nice to visitors). There is a bar/lounge that is well run, and has a decent wine list (looks like top shelf liquor, too, and an impressive beer menu). Breakfast is complimentary in the morning, including an omelette and waffle station. Great amenities include free parking, free WiFi, combs/earbuds/toothbrush, etc. for any traveler who forgets their own. Location is prime. A block’s stroll from Congress Park and the great shops and restaurants of Broadway. No pricier than the hotels on the other side of town, but located even closer to the track (Spring Street to Circular to Union). If you are heading up to the Spa, you need to check this place out. You won’t be sorry! We are definitely coming back.
I must say, I travel a lot and I don’t mind paying a little extra for comfort or amenities, so when I booked this hotel online, I thought this place should be OK. Was I wrong!! This place was fantastic!!!! I walked in and was blown away by the decorations, although the one sculpture looks like a stripper on a pole, it just gave a warm nice feel. The check in staff was amazing and attentive. I wish I could remember her name, she had blonde hair. We travel for my sons basketball and most times people are indifferent about it, but she was enthusiastic!! They had a happy hour with certain tap and liquors and snacks available included in the price of the stay, BONUS!! Usually Holiday does their version of this, which is more like a buffet, but this was actually served!! Room was great, with 2 entrances to the bathroom, from the bedroom and the main room. The keurig was definitely worth the price of the room in itself. The cleaning crew was so welcoming, they were willing to add coffee to our room and extra lotion, since we forgot ours, graciously. Perhaps though , the most impressive part of my stay was that they didn’t have their snack area set up, so instead of shutting it down, they let us use it free of charge!!! Check out was so smooth. I have nothing but positives to say about this hotel!! Staff was great food and drink was fine rooms were clean and fresh, view was nice, I didn’t however use the pool but I am sure that is great as well.
We spend a lot of time in Saratoga usually at the Hampton or Hilton but this hotel was 25-60$ cheaper. Large impressive lobby with friendly staff. Everything still smells new! Loved the happy hour which even included shrimp cocktail. The chef made great a great omelette in the morning. We will definitely be back!
